  • David “Dos Dias” Bishop is a DJ, producer, and Grammy Award Winning/Multi-platinum engineer from Atlanta, GA. Bishop began his career as a DJ during his Freshman year at Morehouse College which led him to the top clubs and events throughout America. His experiences as a DJ connected him to industry professionals, providing him the opportunity to prove his skills as an engineer. Today, Bishop is credited with many of Hip-Hop and R&B’s leading artists including: 21 Savage, Young Nudy, Lil Uzi Vert, EarthGang, SchoolBoy Q, 6LACK, J.Cole and Summer Walker.

  • Henny Tha Bizness, is an award-winning, multi-platinum record producer, songwriter, educator, tech influencer and aspirational speaker. Henny has produced numerous chart topping hit records for various recording artists including Drake, Chris Brown, Kendrick Lamar, J Cole, Lil Wayne, Jay Z, 50 Cent, Black Eyed Peas and many others. A graduate of Morehouse College, Henny has served as an adjunct professor in the areas of Music Production, Online Branding and Music Technology. Henny also serves as President of the Atlanta Chapter of The Recording Academy. Recently, Henny along with his business partner Kennard Garrett launched PACE Recordings, a new music startup in Atlanta, GA. 

  • DJ Tonee, also known as Antonio Morgan, is 6LACK’s official DJ and a Billboard-recognized producer. Hailing from Atlanta, Georgia, DJ Tonee has worked with a variety of major artists including Migos, Waka Flocka, and Rae Sremmurd. He has gained recognition for his ability to control the crowd and create memorable, high-energy performances. Currently, he is focused on expanding his brand and gaining further exposure through his work as 6LACK’s tour DJ

  • Kennard Garrett is an Emmy-nominated, award-winning record producer, composer, and arranger. He has produced and received musician/arranger credit on numerous chart-topping songs for various artists—from the PussyCat Dolls, Jesse McCartney, and Korean pop star BoA to R&B singer Case, and rappers J. Cole and Drake.

    Kennard produced “Don’t Make Me Wait,” the lead single on the collaborative album 44/876 by international superstars Sting and Shaggy, which spent nineteen weeks at No. 1 on Billboard, and won Best Reggae Album honors at the 61st GRAMMY Awards in February

    2019. In 2020, Kennard, along with award-winning producer Justin “Henny” Henderson, developed the music app “House Mark 1.” Within the first week of its release, it was the No. 1 music app and the No. 4 paid app overall in the App Store. Kennard Garrett serves as a national trustee for the National Academy of Recording Arts and Sciences(GRAMMYs) and is a member of the Producers and Engineers wing and the Songwriters wing. A graduate of Morehouse College and Georgia Tech, he is an adjunct professor at Morehouse College.

  • No, it's an alternative to the parties. You and your friends can do something different during homecoming this year!

  • Studio sessions are a 2 hour minimum for you and your friends (8 people total).

  • You can choose any beat, but we've curated select beats from Morehouse producers and you can change the beat while in the session.

  • No, but everyone plays a role:

    • record a verse

    • plug in the ad-libs

    • set the vibe

  • Yes, any genre is welcome: Hip-Hop, Country, R&B, Afrobeats, Pop, Gospel etc.

  • Yes, Top Barz will send each member the recording within 24 hours.

  • We recommend you listen to the instrumental, and write your verse ahead of time to maximize your session.

  • Please be sure to select the B.Y.O.B. option at check out. Don’t forget your cups and ice.

  • Please note that once you have booked an appointment with us it means that we have reserved time in our schedule exclusively for you.

    To cancel a session, you must do so at least 48 hours before the scheduled booking. Any cancellations made less than 48 hours before the scheduled booking time will be subject to a fee of 50% of the total amount of the session.

    To reschedule a session, you must do so at least 48 hours before the scheduled booking. We will not be able to reschedule any sessions on the same day of your booking.

    No Call No Show

    If you fail to cancel or reschedule your session, YOU WILL NOT BE REFUNDED NOR WILL WE BE ABLE TO TRANSFER HOURS TO A LATER SESSION.

  • No smoking is allowed in your session.

  • Scooter and Josh (your favorite cousins from Memphis) have spent the past year building their new startup and are thrilled to launch Top Barz within the Spelhouse community. They give much credit to Spelman Alum Jasmin, Hilary, and Michele for introducing them to their homecoming tradition of making a song with friends in the studio. Now, the Top Barz experience is available at scale for all students and alumni this homecoming.
